
Senior Account Manager, Anti-Infectives

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Facilitate and enhance formulary access, ensure readiness of protocols and order sets, support discharge pathways, and drive demand generation across targeted hospital accounts.
• Engage with infectious disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and IDN decision-makers to boost sales.
• Create, implement, and execute comprehensive territory business plans.
• Cultivate hospital relationships while understanding customer needs and priorities.
• Provide scientific and clinical insights within the disease state and approved product area.
• Present sales information to physicians, APPs, medical staff, and other relevant personnel.
• Manage resources effectively to enhance customer engagement.
• Work collaboratively with Organized Provider Account Directors, Reimbursement Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Meet and surpass sales targets within the designated territory.
• Achieve hospital formulary victories and convert market access successes into prescribing and utilization.
• Collaborate with pharmacy, medical, and operational stakeholders in clinical discussions that support patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transition, discharge readiness, and reduction of readmissions.
• Partner with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy affiliates.
• Identify and tackle barriers that hinder product adoption.
• Strategize activities to meet call metrics and enhance customer coverage and frequency.
• Conduct educational programs, in-services, speaker events, and compliant scientific discussions.
• Analyze utilization trends, customer insights, market dynamics, sales activities, and territory performance.
• Formulate territory plans alongside the Regional Sales Director, brand team, and support partners.
• Oversee the territory budget.
• Complete administrative duties and implement brand strategy within the specified geography.
• Engage in training and development initiatives.
• Maintain adherence to corporate and industry policies and procedures.
• BA/BS degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid driver's license.
• Over 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, or biotech sectors.
• At least 3 years of experience working with hospitals and health systems.
• Familiarity with hospital decision-making processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship programs.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory, including overnight trips.
• Capability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Experience with anti-infectives is preferred.
• Proficiency in account selling and managing complex sales processes.
• Comprehensive knowledge of health systems business models, organizational structures, stakeholder roles, and decision-making processes.
• Experience in engaging specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leadership.
• Experience collaborating across hospital and community care settings.
• Ability to analyze data and trends to develop actionable business plans.
