This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Assist in enhancing formulary access, readiness of protocols and order sets, support for discharge pathways, and demand generation across key hospital accounts.
• Collaborate with Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and IDN decision-makers to drive sales.
• Formulate, implement, and execute integrated business plans for the territory.
• Cultivate hospital relationships and gain insights into customer needs and priorities.
• Provide scientific and clinical information regarding the disease state and the approved product.
• Present sales and comprehensive clinical brand information to healthcare professionals.
• Manage resources effectively to enhance customer engagement.
• Work in partnership with Organized Provider Account Directors, Reimbursement Managers, and cross-functional teams.
• Meet and exceed sales targets within the designated territory.
• Achieve formulary victories and convert market access successes into prescribing and utilization.
• Engage stakeholders in conversations about patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transition, discharge readiness, and reduction of readmissions.
• Facilitate collaboration with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners.
• Identify and resolve barriers affecting product adoption.
• Plan activities to meet call metrics and maximize customer coverage and interaction frequency.
• Understand healthcare delivery systems, physician hierarchies, pharmacy personnel, and clinical nursing staff within assigned accounts.
• Develop knowledge of products and accounts while monitoring market trends.
• Analyze utilization trends, customer insights, and local market dynamics.
• Conduct educational programs, in-services, speaker events, and compliant scientific discussions.
• Share best practices with sales colleagues.
• Provide insights on marketing strategies and evaluate sales activities and territory performance.
• Collaborate with the Regional Sales Director, brand team, and support partners to develop territory plans.
• Manage the territory budget effectively.
• Complete administrative duties and implement the company’s brand strategy and tactics.
• Engage in training and development initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to corporate and industry policies and procedures.
• BA/BS degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid driver's license.
• Over 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, or biotech industry.
• At least 3 years of experience calling on hospitals and health systems.
• Familiarity with hospital decision-making processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship programs.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned area, including overnight stays.
• Capability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Proven track record of top-tier sales performance and successful product launches.
• Demonstrated success in driving demand generation within hospitals.
• Experience in Anti-Infective preferred.
• Proficiency in account selling and managing complex sales processes.
• In-depth understanding of the Health Systems business model, organizational structure, key stakeholder roles, and decision-making processes (P&T, formulary, etc.).
• Experience engaging with specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leadership.
• Proven experience collaborating across hospital and community care environments.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in analyzing data and trends to develop actionable business plans.
• Flexibility and adaptability in response to changing market conditions.
• Proven ability to comply with all regulatory, legal, and compliance standards.
• Exceptional presentation and selling skills combined with strong business acumen.
