Senior Account Manager, Anti-Infectives

📋 Description

• Facilitate and enhance formulary access, readiness of protocols and order sets, support for discharge pathways, and demand generation within targeted hospital accounts.

• Collaborate with Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and IDN decision-makers to boost sales.

• Create, implement, and execute integrated business plans for the territory.

• Cultivate hospital relationships while understanding customer needs and priorities.

• Offer scientific and clinical information regarding the disease state and approved products.

• Present approved product sales to physicians, APPs, medical staff, and clinic personnel.

• Enhance customer engagement and work collaboratively within GSK’s matrixed sales organization.

• Meet and surpass territory sales targets, maximizing high-value customer opportunities.

• Achieve formulary wins at hospitals and convert market access successes into prescribing and utilization.

• Involve pharmacy, medical, and operational stakeholders in clinical discussions that support patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transition, discharge readiness, and readmission reduction.

• Partner with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners to ensure patient access and therapy continuity.

• Identify and resolve barriers impacting product adoption.

• Organize activities to meet call metrics and enhance customer coverage and frequency.

• Provide comprehensive clinical brand presentations and conduct educational programs, in-services, speaker programs, and compliant scientific discussions.

• Grasp healthcare delivery systems, physician hierarchies, pharmacy personnel, and clinical nursing staff within assigned accounts.

• Analyze utilization trends, customer insights, and local market dynamics to spot opportunities.

• Work with sales peers to exchange best practices and strategies.

• Offer feedback on marketing strategies and assess sales activities and territory performance.

• Develop territory plans alongside the Regional Sales Director, brand team, and support partners.

• Oversee the territory budget and complete administrative duties.

• Implement company brand strategy and tactics throughout the designated geographic area.

• Engage in training and development programs.

• Ensure compliance with corporate and industry policies and procedures.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

• Valid driver's license.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned geography, including overnight trips.

• Over 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, or biotech sectors.

• More than 3 years of experience engaging with hospitals and health systems.

• Familiarity with hospital decision-making processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship programs.

• Proven track record of top-tier sales performance and successful product launches.

• Demonstrated capability in driving demand generation within hospitals.

• Proficiency in account selling and managing complex sales processes.

• In-depth understanding of the Health Systems business model, organizational structures, stakeholder roles, and decision-making processes.

• Experience engaging with specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leadership.

• Background in collaborating across hospital and community care settings.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Skill in analyzing data and trends to formulate actionable business plans.

• Flexibility and adaptability to evolving market conditions.

• Capacity to comply with regulatory, legal, and compliance standards.

• Outstanding presentation and selling abilities with strong business acumen.

• Capability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
