This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Foster professional relationships with clients by delivering outstanding customer service.
• Oversee a portfolio of fully insured and level funded clients within the Select Business Unit.
• Serve as the main liaison among clients, prospects, agencies, and producers.
• Address or escalate client service inquiries, complaints, disputes, and grievances.
• Assist sales agents in acquiring new business and renewing existing contracts.
• Initiate marketing efforts for accounts starting 120 days prior to renewal.
• Collect account details and present them to carriers for proposal submissions.
• Analyze carrier products and client data to provide recommendations on plans and proposals.
• Review proposals for precision and collaborate with producers on presentations, spreadsheets, and exhibits.
• Calculate premiums and payroll deductions while auditing billing statements.
• Create open enrollment materials and facilitate enrollment presentations.
• Manage carrier paperwork and oversee transitions between carriers.
• Organize account files within the agency management system.
• Prioritize and manage workflows to ensure timely and accurate transaction processing.
• Stay informed on carrier advancements and Federal/State regulations impacting benefit programs.
• Confirm client accounts meet compliance standards and advise clients on compliance necessities and deadlines.
• Cultivate relationships with insurance carriers to streamline business processes.
• Maintain agency records and process incoming mail requests.
• Fulfill required training and perform related duties as necessary.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in employee benefits and account management within the insurance sector is required.
• Strong grasp of current employee benefits, regulations, and industry practices.
• Experience with the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and Employment Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) is preferred.
• Familiarity with fully-insured financial arrangements and alternative funding methods is preferred.
• An active Life & Health License is mandatory.
• Industry-related certifications are preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience with Applied Epic is preferred, or familiarity with a similar Account Management System (AMS) is acceptable.
• Capability to lift 25 pounds.
• Frequent use of sight to read documents and computer screens.
• Regular use of hearing and speech for communication via telephone and in-person interactions.
• Repetitive hand activities, including typing, writing, and using a 10-key.
• Ability to walk, bend, sit, reach, and stretch in various directions.
