This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Meet and surpass sales objectives within the designated hospital territory.
• Create, implement, and execute comprehensive territory business strategies.
• Achieve formulary victories in hospitals and convert market access accomplishments into prescribing and usage.
• Engage with pharmacy, medical, operational, and clinical stakeholders in discussions that support treatment selection, discharge readiness, and minimizing readmissions.
• Collaborate with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners to enhance patient access and ensure therapy continuity.
• Identify and resolve obstacles affecting product adoption.
• Organize activities and maximize customer coverage and call frequency.
• Present clinical brand information and approved product sales presentations to physicians and healthcare professionals.
• Understand healthcare delivery systems, account hierarchies, pharmacy personnel, and clinical nursing staff.
• Cultivate product and account knowledge while monitoring market trends.
• Analyze utilization trends, customer insights, and local market dynamics.
• Conduct educational initiatives, in-services, speaker programs, and compliant scientific discussions.
• Work collaboratively with sales colleagues and cross-functional partners to exchange best practices and drive cohesive execution.
• Provide insights on marketing strategies and evaluate sales activities and territory performance.
• Develop territory plans alongside the Regional Sales Director, brand team, and support partners.
• Oversee the territory budget.
• Complete administrative responsibilities and implement the company's brand strategy within the assigned area.
• Participate in training and development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and industry regulations and procedures.
• BA/BS degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned area, including overnight trips.
• 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, or biotech sectors.
• 3+ years of experience engaging with hospitals and health systems.
• Familiarity with hospital decision-making processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship initiatives.
• Proven track record of exceptional sales performance and successful product launches preferred.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in driving demand generation within hospitals is preferred.
• Experience in Anti-Infective products is preferred.
• Proficiency in account selling and managing intricate sales processes.
• In-depth understanding of the Health Systems business model, organizational structure, stakeholder roles, and decision-making protocols.
• Experience engaging with specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leadership.
• Experience collaborating across hospital and community care environments.
• Ability to operate effectively both independently and as a team member.
• Capability to analyze data and trends to formulate actionable business strategies.
• Flexibility and adaptability to evolving market conditions.
• Proven ability to comply with regulatory, legal, and compliance standards.
• Outstanding presentation and selling abilities with strong business acumen.
• Capacity to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
