This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Support and enhance formulary access, readiness of protocols and order sets, discharge pathway assistance, and demand generation within targeted hospital accounts.
• Collaborate with Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and IDN decision-makers to drive sales.
• Create, implement, and execute integrated business plans for the territory.
• Maintain hospital relationships while understanding customer needs and priorities.
• Provide scientific and clinical information related to the disease state and the approved product.
• Deliver sales presentations on approved products to physicians, APPs, medical staff, and clinic personnel.
• Manage resources effectively to enhance customer engagement.
• Work in collaboration with Organized Provider Account Directors, Reimbursement Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Meet and surpass sales targets within the designated territory.
• Secure formulary wins in hospitals and convert market access successes into prescribing and utilization.
• Engage stakeholders in discussions regarding patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transitions, discharge readiness, and readmission prevention.
• Facilitate collaboration with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners.
• Identify and address obstacles impacting product adoption.
• Plan activities to meet call metrics and optimize customer coverage and frequency.
• Conduct educational programs, in-services, speaker programs, and compliant scientific discussions.
• Analyze utilization trends, customer insights, market dynamics, sales activities, and territory performance.
• Develop territory plans in conjunction with the Regional Sales Director, brand team, and support partners.
• Manage the territory budget effectively.
• Complete administrative duties and implement company brand strategies and tactics.
• Engage in training and development programs.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and industry policies and procedures.
• BA/BS degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid driver's license.
• Over 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, or biotech industry.
• More than 3 years of experience calling on hospitals and health systems.
• Familiarity with hospital decision-making processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship programs.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned geography, including overnight travel.
• Capability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Experience in Anti-Infective preferred.
• Proficiency in account selling and managing complex sales processes.
• In-depth understanding of the Health Systems business model, organizational structure, stakeholder roles, and decision-making processes.
• Experience engaging with specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leadership.
• Experience collaborating across hospital and community care settings.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Competence in analyzing data and trends to formulate actionable business plans.
• Adherence to regulatory, legal, and compliance standards.
• Excellent presentation and selling skills, along with strong business acumen.
