
Senior Account Manager, Anti-Infectives

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.
• Support and enhance formulary access, ensure protocol and order set preparedness, assist with discharge pathways, and generate demand across targeted hospital accounts.
• Engage with Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and IDN decision-makers to drive sales initiatives.
• Create, implement, and execute a comprehensive territory business plan.
• Cultivate hospital relationships and gain a deep understanding of customer needs and priorities.
• Provide scientific and clinical information relevant to the disease state area and the approved product.
• Present sales information to physicians, APPs, medical staff, and other relevant clinic personnel.
• Manage resources effectively to enhance customer engagement.
• Collaborate with Organized Provider Account Directors, Reimbursement Managers, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
• Meet and surpass sales targets within the designated territory.
• Convert hospital formulary successes and market access achievements into prescribing and utilization.
• Engage stakeholders in discussions that support patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transitions, discharge readiness, and readmission reduction.
• Work alongside nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners to ensure patient access and continuity of therapy.
• Identify and resolve barriers that affect product adoption.
• Plan activities aimed at meeting call metrics and optimizing customer coverage and frequency.
• Conduct educational programs, in-services, speaker programs, and compliant scientific discussions.
• Analyze utilization trends, customer insights, market dynamics, sales activities, and territory performance.
• Formulate territory plans in collaboration with the Regional Sales Director, brand team, and support partners.
• Oversee the territory budget.
• Complete administrative responsibilities and implement the company's brand strategy and tactics.
• Participate in training and development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and industry policies and procedures.
• BA/BS degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid driver's license.
• Over 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, or biotech industry.
• At least 3 years of experience engaging with hospitals and health systems.
• Familiarity with hospital decision-making processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship programs.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned geography, including overnight stays.
• Capability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Proven track record of top-tier sales performance and successful product launches.
• Demonstrated ability to drive demand generation within hospitals.
• Anti-Infective experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in account selling and managing intricate sales processes.
• In-depth knowledge of the Health Systems business model, organizational structure, key stakeholder roles, and decision-making processes.
• Experience engaging with specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leadership.
• Experience collaborating across hospital and community care settings.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and trends and develop actionable business plans.
• Flexibility and adaptability to evolving market conditions.
• Proven ability to adhere to regulatory, legal, and compliance standards.
• Exceptional presentation and selling abilities, paired with strong business acumen.
