This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Support growth initiatives aimed at the US Air Force.
• Report directly to the Director of Accounts, acting as a corporate representative for the Air Force market.
• Drive strategic planning and pipeline development to secure new business opportunities.
• Assist in formulating and implementing account strategies and pipelines in collaboration with Business Area and Portfolio leaders.
• Create go-to-market and market penetration strategies to strengthen customer relationships and expand the business base.
• Foster relationships with strategic partners, OEMs, trade associations, and small enterprises.
• Organize communications and meetings that focus on strategy development, pipeline discussions, opportunity evaluations, and reviews.
• Develop and nurture customer and industry relationships to gather intelligence and position AMERICAN SYSTEMS as a reliable partner.
• Identify and oversee key partner and teammate relationships to boost PWin and growth potential.
• Establish customer touchpoints and convey messaging through various communication mediums.
• Create a calendar for industry events and manage participation and customer engagement.
• Aid in the identification of opportunities, pursuit, and pipeline management.
• Identify, analyze, and qualify high-PWin opportunities.
• Respond to government market research inquiries, attend industry events, and engage in thought leadership initiatives.
• Manage customer stakeholder maps and call plans; evaluate competitors and create differentiated win strategies throughout the BD/opportunity lifecycle.
• Comprehend acquisition cycles and utilize long-range forecasts for planning purposes.
• Develop and present bid review presentations, pursuit plans, and business cases.
• Assist Capture and Proposal Managers with readiness for capture and proposals.
• Help secure teaming agreements.
• Support capture and proposal activities through color reviews and various meetings to ensure the voice of the customer is accurately represented.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required; disciplines in scientific, engineering, or business fields are preferred.
• An advanced degree is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in an Air Force leadership role at the Group level or higher; command experience is highly sought after.
• Operational Air Force experience in a rated career field (e.g., pilot, CSO/WSO, or similar aircrew roles) is preferred.
• Current knowledge of Air Force acquisition processes, priorities, and strategic direction, including the procurement of services and mission solutions.
• Experience in developing qualified pipelines and securing new business.
• Strong understanding of federal acquisition regulations, government contracting policies, and key AF/DoD contract vehicles.
• Awareness of current acquisition trends and customer purchasing behaviors.
• Experience supporting SAP and/or SCI programs.
• Knowledge of leading partners and competitors within the market.
• Capacity to manage multiple customer relationships to optimize business opportunities.
• Proven success in identifying, qualifying, and assisting organizations to win contracts exceeding $50M.
• Ability to pinpoint key growth areas and develop new business aligned with the company's growth strategies and campaigns.
• Proficient in presenting and communicating effectively at senior levels.
• Skilled in managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Proficient in leveraging technology and tools related to customer relationship management, pipeline management, market intelligence, and business analytics.
• Top Secret clearance is required.
