This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Develop and implement strategies for key regional accounts that are crucial for both strategic direction and revenue generation.
• Lead the strategic approach for large, key accounts by coordinating sales and relationship-building efforts.
• Gain insight into clients' business strategies, drivers, goals, and initiatives, converting these insights into sales opportunities for Gartner.
• Build and sustain executive-level client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Oversee accounts to enhance customer satisfaction, retention, and growth.
• Hold responsibility for achieving quota targets associated with specific strategic accounts.
• Consistently apply Gartner's internal sales methodologies.
• Strategically plan for large accounts and manage designated territories.
• Ensure accurate forecasting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Maintain awareness of competitive dynamics and industry trends.
• Manage expenses with a focus on fiscal responsibility.
• Keep a thorough understanding of Gartner’s products and services.
• 8-12 years of external experience demonstrating successful consultative sales, ideally in high technology (services, software, or hardware).
• Capability to prospect and cultivate relationships with C-level and senior executives in large multinational corporations.
• Strong display of intellect, motivation, executive presence, and sales expertise.
• Proven track record of establishing exceptional client relationships and providing value-added, strategic insights into their business challenges.
• Demonstrated ability to comprehend enterprise-wide issues and devise innovative, integrated solutions that support IT decision-making for global firms.
• In-depth understanding of technology purchasing ecosystems.
• Extensive and pertinent industry knowledge tailored to specific vertical markets within the assigned territory.
• Strong proficiency in computer skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication/presentation abilities.
• Aptitude for developing and delivering effective presentations to contract decision makers (C-level).
• Familiarity with the entire sales process lifecycle, from prospecting to closing.
• Language skills as required by the needs of the territory.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• A Master’s or advanced degree is a plus.
