This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +4 more states.
• Acquire new business and expand customer sales opportunities from executive-level buyers and influencers within the Financial Services sector, specifically targeting Insurance and Investment clients.
• Market Workiva’s core platform and collaborate with various Workiva Solution Sales teams to provide multi-solution sales.
• Cultivate relationships and identify Workiva products and solutions that align with customer requirements.
• Drive customer acquisition in a designated territory through new customer subscriptions, professional services, delivery, and training.
• Identify sales opportunities in collaboration with peer Sales teams, Inside Sales, and Partnerships to create a qualified sales pipeline.
• Collaborate with the Solutions Consulting Team to utilize needs-analysis data for delivering impactful Workiva platform demonstrations.
• Address customer objections, eliminate barriers, and devise solutions to client challenges.
• Lead the sales process to closure by effectively showcasing Workiva’s value proposition.
• Maintain updates in customer relationship management tools with relevant customer contacts.
• Analyze sales pipelines and offer accurate forward-looking sales forecasts.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to secure sales.
• Mobilize internal support and optimize internal resources for accounts.
• Prioritize sales activities and ensure timely follow-up.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Workiva products through continuous training.
• Share knowledge, successes, insights, and best practices with colleagues.
• Over 6 years of sales experience in a relevant role targeting Executive-level buyers – including enterprise technology, Software as a Service (SaaS), or similar complex solution sales.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of knowledge and relevant career experience.
• Familiarity with the Software as a Service (SaaS) business model.
• Experience selling to Investment Customers.
• Proven experience selling to customers in the Insurance sector and understanding of NAIC, insurance statutory reporting, etc.
• Background in selling to the office of the CFO.
• Capability to demonstrate complex software applications.
• Documented experience in navigating and achieving sales success within enterprise organizations.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to comprehend complex business challenges.
• Executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively at the highest levels.
• Ability to identify and leverage the influence of various stakeholders during the sales cycle.
• Skill in managing multiple complex sales cycles concurrently.
• Competence in negotiating pricing while focusing on value retention.
• Proven capability in meeting and exceeding sales quota targets.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% for customer meetings and events.
• Reliable internet access for remote work, not conducted in a Workiva office.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. permanently.
• Workiva will not sponsor visas for this position.
• On Target Earnings (OTE) range in the US: $212,000.00 - $345,000.00 USD annually.
• Eligible for commission based on sales performance.
