This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Develop and implement strategic sales initiatives to enhance market presence and achieve revenue objectives.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with university leaders, student affairs professionals, and benefits coordinators.
• Assess client requirements and deliver customized insurance solutions that align with institutional objectives and student wellness priorities.
• Oversee contract negotiations, renewals, and pricing strategies in collaboration with clients and internal teams.
• Keep abreast of regulatory updates, market competition, and emerging trends in student health insurance.
• Work alongside underwriting, marketing, compliance, and customer service teams to ensure effective client onboarding and satisfaction.
• Maintain precise records of sales activities, pipeline development, and revenue projections using sales management tools.
• Adhere to relevant corporate, departmental, HIPAA, diversity, integrity, compliance, and cybersecurity policies.
• Safeguard the confidentiality of company operations and protect sensitive information, including ePHI where applicable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• Strong grasp of ACA compliance, waiver processes, and the structures of student health plans.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
• Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and participate in industry events.
• Experience with self-funded and fully insured student health plans is preferred.
• Knowledge of university procurement processes and RFP submissions is advantageous.
• Established connections within the higher education sector are a plus.
• Understanding of student health portals, waiver systems, and enrollment platforms is beneficial.
• Must adhere to HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, Compliance Program policies, and other relevant guidelines.
• Must comply with AHP’s Cybersecurity policies and practices, including annual attestation, security awareness training, secure account management, protection of sensitive information, laptop security, and reporting information security issues.
