Seasonal Honors Reviewer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of both domestic and international applications for admission into The Ohio State University Honors Program.

• Acquire an in-depth understanding of the enrollment objectives, policies, and procedures associated with the Honors Program.

• Review, assess, and analyze application materials.

• Provide weekly updates and recommendations for completed reviews in the online evaluation platform.

• Manage assigned application files via a secure online review system and submit recommendations electronically.

• Participate in mandatory monthly training sessions, individual coaching meetings, and other discussions during standard university business hours.

• Stay informed about changes in procedures and guidelines that impact the evaluation process.

• Ensure confidentiality and security concerning admission files and university documents.

• Evaluate an average of 80 applications weekly, with the potential for additional files during the months of January and February.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree, ideally in counseling, human relations, or education.

• A reasonable understanding of high school guidance or teaching experience.

• Successful completion of a background check is required.

• Must be a resident of Ohio and maintain residency in the state while fulfilling the role.

• A flexible work schedule that averages 14–18 hours per week, with certain weeks in January and February potentially requiring up to 20 hours.

• A commitment to completing the necessary application files weekly and attending all mandatory virtual training sessions and meetings.

• 1–2 years of relevant experience is preferred.

• A drug screening or physical examination may be necessary during the post-offer process.
