Seasonal Experienced Tax Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Prepare and evaluate individual federal and state income tax returns (Form 1040)

• Prepare and evaluate S corporation income tax returns (Form 1120-S)

• Prepare and evaluate partnership income tax returns (Form 1065)

• Prepare and evaluate trust and estate income tax returns (Form 1041)

• Conduct research on federal and state tax inquiries and assist with tax planning

• Identify opportunities for tax savings for clients

• Provide assistance with tax consulting and client communications

• Prepare income tax basis financial statements as necessary

• Communicate with clients and other members of the firm

• Manage assigned tasks independently while staying connected with the remote team

• Utilize Lacerte, QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Office, ShareFile, and OfficeTools

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in public accounting

• Recent experience in preparing and reviewing income tax returns

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline

• Extensive experience with individual income tax returns, especially Form 1040

• Familiarity with Forms 1120-S, 1065, and 1041

• Strong understanding of federal and state income tax regulations

• Exceptional attention to detail and capability to meet deadlines during tax season

• Proficient written and verbal communication abilities

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks Online
