Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Assist or take ownership of the complete month-end closing process for a designated portfolio of clients, encompassing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll-related duties.

• Manage specific accounting responsibilities within the month-end closing cycle.

• Prepare and facilitate the delivery of accounting reports for clients.

• Address client inquiries and follow up on pending items.

• Request, organize, and track any missing documentation from clients.

• Ensure that records in accounting software, including Double, are maintained in a clean, precise, and up-to-date manner.

• Identify and bring to the Controller's attention any open items, obstacles, and issues ahead of deadlines.

• Contribute to internal process enhancements, efficiency initiatives, and other efforts within the accounting team.

• Collaborate closely with the Controller and other team members to ensure that client engagements are accurately completed and delivered on time.

• May serve as the Controller and lead Staff Accountant for a specific engagement, depending on the client’s structure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

• Experience with inventory management and cost accounting.

• Familiarity with transactional accounting.

• Advanced understanding of accounting practices pertinent to ecommerce or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industries.

• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate and current records.

• Capable of managing deadlines, following up on outstanding issues, and proactively escalating concerns.

• Preferred: Experience in accounting for Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG).

• Preferred: Experience in accounting for ecommerce businesses.
