Scrum Master

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead sprint planning, daily scrums, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives throughout two-week sprints.

• Maintain the currency of sprint backlogs, impediments, risks, and Agile metrics in VA Jira.

• Mentor the team and the VA Product Owner in SAFe 6.0 practices.

• Integrate team objectives, capacity, and dependencies into PI Planning.

• Report risks and blockers to the Release Train Engineer and program leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile coach.

• Familiarity with a SAFe Agile Release Train.

• Proficient in Jira administration for sprint boards and metrics.

• Bachelor's degree required.

• Certification as a SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) is mandatory.

• Ability to secure a Tier 2 / Moderate Risk Public Trust is necessary.

• Ability to obtain a VA PIV credential is required.

• Experience in VA or federal health programs is preferred.

• Knowledge of SAFe 6.0 practices is advantageous.

• Experience coaching product owners on backlog refinement is desirable.

• SAFe Advanced Scrum Master certification is a plus.
