Scrum Master

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead sprint planning, daily scrums, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives in two-week sprints.

• Maintain current sprint backlogs, identify impediments, assess risks, and track Agile metrics in VA Jira.

• Guide the team and the VA Product Owner in implementing SAFe 6.0 practices.

• Integrate team objectives, capacity, and dependencies into PI Planning.

• Report risks and obstacles to the Release Train Engineer and program leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile coach.

• Familiarity with a SAFe Agile Release Train.

• Proficient in Jira administration for sprint boards and metrics.

• Bachelor’s degree required.

• SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification is mandatory.

• Ability to secure a Tier 2 / Moderate Risk Public Trust clearance.

• Must be eligible for a VA PIV credential.

• Experience with VA or federal health programs is preferred.

• Knowledge of SAFe 6.0 practices is a plus.

• Previous experience coaching product owners on backlog refinement is desirable.
