Scrum Master

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and facilitate sprint planning, daily scrum meetings, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives over two-week sprints.

• Maintain current sprint backlogs, identify impediments, assess risks, and track Agile metrics within VA Jira.

• Provide coaching to the team and the VA Product Owner on the practices of SAFe 6.0.

• Integrate team objectives, capacity, and dependencies into the Program Increment (PI) Planning process.

• Communicate risks and blockers to the Release Train Engineer and program leadership for resolution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Scrum Master or Agile coach.

• Proven experience working on a SAFe Agile Release Train.

• Proficient in Jira administration for sprint boards and metrics tracking.

• Bachelor's degree is required.

• SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification is mandatory.

• Ability to obtain a Tier 2 / Moderate Risk Public Trust clearance.

• Capability to secure a VA PIV credential.

• Experience with VA or federal health programs is preferred.

• Familiarity with SAFe 6.0 practices is essential.

• Experience coaching product owners on backlog refinement is advantageous.

• SAFe Advanced Scrum Master certification is a plus.
