Scrum Master

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the facilitation of sprint planning, daily scrums, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives for two-week sprints.

• Maintain current sprint backlogs, address impediments, manage risks, and track Agile metrics in VA Jira.

• Mentor the team and the VA Product Owner in applying SAFe 6.0 methodologies.

• Integrate team goals, capacity, and dependencies into PI Planning.

• Report risks and obstacles to the Release Train Engineer and program leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile coach.

• Proven experience on a SAFe Agile Release Train.

• Proficient in Jira administration for sprint boards and metrics.

• Bachelor's degree required.

• Certification as a SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) is mandatory.

• Ability to secure a Tier 2 / Moderate Risk Public Trust clearance.

• Must be eligible for a VA PIV credential.

• Experience in VA or federal health programs is preferred.

• Familiarity with SAFe 6.0 practices is a plus.

• Experience in coaching product owners on backlog refinement is desirable.

• Holding a SAFe Advanced Scrum Master certification is advantageous.
