Scrum Master

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives, Demos, and PI Planning.

• Cultivate strong relationships to encourage collaboration, transparency, and innovation within highly cross-functional Agile software development teams that support CI/CD.

• Actively identify and eliminate obstacles that impede team progress.

• Support the Product Manager in effective backlog management, ensuring items are clear, prioritized, and aligned with business objectives.

• Advocate for Agile values and quality practices, coordinate across various organizations, and coach team members on process enhancements and best practices.

• Collaborate closely with senior client leadership and business stakeholders, providing advice on process standardization and ongoing improvement.

• Direct the development team in self-organization, cross-functionality, and the adoption of Agile principles to optimize performance.

• Facilitate conflict resolution, address issues, and promote healthy communication among the development team, Product Manager, and stakeholders.

• Encourage continuous improvement by recognizing process enhancements and implementing Agile best practices.

• Assume additional tasks and responsibilities as necessary to support team goals and ensure project success.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, a technical field, or a related discipline is mandatory.

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience is required.

• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale software development, data management, and system integration projects.

• Proficient in leading briefings with senior leadership and effectively capturing actionable outcomes from meetings and stakeholder requests.

• Experienced with Agile project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar applications.

• Familiarity with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Kanban methodologies is highly preferred.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and team members.

• Experience with SAFe/Agile methodologies.

• Experience working with the VA or other Government agencies is advantageous.

• Capability to obtain government clearance is necessary.

• Selected candidates will be required to undergo fingerprinting at a government facility and complete a background check.
