Scrum Master

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the main liaison between the contractor team and the USDA's Product Owner.

• Oversee sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Supervise and manage all contractor personnel involved in the project.

• Eliminate obstacles and ensure the team can deliver functional software in an iterative manner.

• Monitor team velocity and assist in maintaining a well-prioritized product backlog.

• Clearly communicate project status, risks, and issues to USDA stakeholders.

• Ensure the team follows the core working hours of 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

• Coordinate travel arrangements with the Contracting Officer's Representative before making bookings.

• Assist in the onboarding and offboarding of contractor personnel in accordance with USDA separation requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

• Experience as a Scrum Master, product manager, or agile coach.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Proven track record of working on federal government IT projects.

• Capability to manage cross-functional teams in a dynamic, iterative setting.

• Knowledge of agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field is required.

• At least 6 years of experience in project or program management.

• Minimum of 3 years serving as a Scrum Master, agile coach, or product manager in software development projects.

• Experience overseeing contractor teams on federal government IT contracts.

• Proven ability to facilitate agile ceremonies and coach teams on agile best practices.

• Experience working directly with government Product Owners and Contracting Officer's Representatives.
