This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Become a part of the Technology Services Division within the Digital Solution Services team.
• Assist a new Agile team in creating a strategic framework for portable, verifiable, and user-controlled credentials.
• Report directly to the Product Owner.
• Serve as a servant leader and coach for the Agile team.
• Facilitate PI Planning by assessing capacity, mapping dependencies, identifying risks, and drafting PI objectives.
• Participate in Scrum of Scrums and ART Sync meetings to manage dependencies and escalate risks to the Release Train Engineer.
• Lead the team through Inspect and Adapt events while identifying opportunities for systemic process enhancements.
• Provide education to the team on SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, and built-in quality practices.
• Eliminate internal and external obstacles.
• Shield the team from distractions, context switching, and uncontrolled scope modifications.
• Enhance workflow using Kanban boards, WIP limits, bottleneck analysis, and SAFe metrics.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner to ensure a prioritized backlog aligns with the Definition of Ready.
• Maintain a balance between user value and technical enablers.
• Uphold architectural runway standards, technical excellence, and the Definition of Done.
• Facilitate coordination with other Scrum Masters across the Agile Release Train.
• Advocate for SAFe core values, transparency, respect, alignment, and continuous improvement.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• At least seven (7) years of related experience, including a minimum of five (5) years as a Scrum Master or Senior Project Manager.
• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
• Experience in the public sector.
• Familiarity with Enterprise Agile frameworks, particularly SAFe.
• SAFe Scrum Master (SAFe SSM) certification; those without it must obtain and maintain it as a condition of continued employment.
• PMI PMP, PMI ACP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or certification from a recognized Scrum and Agile education provider.
• Change management certification from a reputable change management leader.
• Experience in presenting to senior management groups.
• Experience in facilitating group discussions.
• Experience in supporting organizational transformation from waterfall to product-centric Agile and/or DevOps methodologies.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps Services.
• Experience with IAM and IDaaS platforms, such as PingOne.
• Knowledge of decentralized identity solutions and Verifiable Credentials (VCs).
• Familiarity with SaaS applications.
• Experience with cloud applications.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• A valid New Brunswick driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel within New Brunswick.
• Limited flexibility in working hours, including the occasional requirement for evening or weekend work.
• Criminal History Clearance must be obtained prior to appointment.
• Strong skills in written communication, planning and organizing, and presentation.
