Manager, Scrum Master

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Facilitates and executes Scrum events.

• Eliminates obstacles and fosters collaboration.

• Assists the Product Owner.

• Promotes ongoing improvement.

• Guarantees effective application of the Scrum framework.

• Mentors Scrum Masters and Product Owners on agile principles, values, and best practices in project/product management.

• Develops budget and resource planning strategies utilizing team velocity, historical data, and constraints.

• Assesses the volume of work that can be accomplished within the proposed project timelines.

• Ensures comprehensive risk assessments that encompass risk identification, mitigation strategies, and contingency plans for Scrum initiatives.

• Establishes Scrum processes and procedures for backlog management, prioritization methods, and user story refinement.

• Anticipates team capacity and delivery potential for upcoming projects.

• Aids in creating and executing a unified language and framework for team collaboration.

• Enhances team capacity and explores potential bottlenecks.

• Incorporates adaptability, transparency, and customer collaboration into departmental processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-7+ years of relevant work experience.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

• Excellent collaboration and teamwork abilities.

• Growth mindset with a focus on agility and personal development for self and others.

• Proficient in execution and delivery, including planning, delivering, and supporting.

• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) is preferred.

• A Bachelor's degree is preferred, or specialized training/relevant professional qualification.
