Scrum Master

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Lead and mentor an agile team within the SAFe framework.

• Facilitate team breakouts during PI Planning and establish PI objectives.

• Guide sprint planning, retrospectives, demos, and the execution of Program Increments.

• Assist in backlog refinement alongside Product Owners and business analysts.

• Monitor and eliminate impediments while ensuring coordination across teams.

• Maintain team performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.

• Conduct capacity planning for iterations and increments.

• Collaborate with Scrum Masters to manage dependencies and ensure consistency across teams.

• Act as a liaison with architects, cybersecurity subject matter experts, and other stakeholders.

• Oversee product releases and manage dependencies among teams and third parties.

• Support the development of the product roadmap.

• Promote continuous improvement and the development of high-performing teams.

• Develop and refine processes to enhance quality and productivity.

• Contribute to Agile communities of practice.

• Ensure appropriate staffing for assigned Epics and Features.

• Schedule and delegate work, address issues, and provide guidance.

• Ensure the quality of the product and timely delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, along with seven years of relevant experience.

• Certified Scrum Master or Certified SAFe Scrum Master with extensive experience coaching Scrum teams.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• At least three (3) years of experience leading teams using an Agile Scrum or Scaled Agile methodology.

• Knowledge of software development processes, including planning, development, requirements management, configuration management, quality assurance, and release management.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and capable of passing an IT-1 background investigation.

• SAFe Advanced Scrum Master, SAFe Practitioner, or other Scaled Agile Certification (preferred).

• Experience with continuous deployment models (preferred).

• Ability to apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts and contribute to innovative ideas (preferred).
