Manager, Scrum Master

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Mentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Agile teams on Agile methodologies, Scrum principles, and optimal practices.

• Assist teams in achieving self-organization, cross-functionality, accountability, and ongoing improvement.

• Foster adaptability, transparency, collaboration, experimentation, and a growth-oriented mindset.

• Develop and execute a unified language and framework for Agile team collaboration.

• Facilitate and supervise Scrum ceremonies, which include daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.

• Eliminate barriers and tackle risks and challenges that impact productivity and sprint commitments.

• Shield teams from external interruptions, scope creep, and conflicting priorities.

• Assess work capacity based on team velocity, capacity, and historical data.

• Anticipate team capacity and delivery potential for upcoming projects.

• Collaborate with Product Owners on backlog management, prioritization, user story refinement, and product roadmap execution.

• Synchronize product objectives, business goals, and customer requirements across teams.

• Facilitate communication among cross-functional stakeholders.

• Ensure risk evaluations encompass identification, mitigation strategies, and contingency planning.

• Uphold Scrum processes and procedures.

• Identify bottlenecks and workflow inefficiencies, and implement enhancements.

• Leverage metrics and Agile best practices to boost effectiveness and operational excellence.

• Develop budget and resource-planning strategies.

• Support Agile initiatives across multiple teams and projects.

• Guarantee optimal resource allocation to fulfill delivery commitments and business objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in Agile delivery, Scrum Master, Agile Coach, project management, or similar roles.

• Proven experience in leading and coaching Agile teams within complex environments.

• Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Proven capability to eliminate barriers, resolve conflicts, and enhance team dynamics.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Effective collaboration and teamwork skills.

• A growth mindset, emphasizing agility and professional development for oneself and others.

• Skills in execution and delivery, including planning, executing, and supporting initiatives.

• Experience in managing or mentoring Scrum Masters and Agile practitioners.

• Familiarity with Agile planning tools and delivery metrics.

• Comprehensive understanding of Agile frameworks, including Scrum, Kanban, and scaled Agile methodologies.

• Preferred certifications include Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe Agilist, or equivalent Agile certifications.

• A Bachelor's degree is preferred, along with specialized training, Agile certification, or relevant professional qualifications.
