Scrum Master – Advanced

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nebraska.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance and support to Agile teams by facilitating Scrum ceremonies and team-level PI planning sessions.

• Develop and nurture high-performing teams by fostering a safe environment characterized by trust and transparency.

• Coach teams to achieve higher levels of maturity, predictability, and self-organization.

• Maintain healthy backlogs, establish clear priorities, and ensure work is well-understood.

• Assist and mentor teams in developing refined, ready backlogs and crafting clear, concise, testable acceptance criteria.

• Ensure teams deliver work that aligns with sprint goals and release timelines.

• Eliminate impediments or obstacles hindering the team’s ability to deliver.

• Collaborate with leadership to address dependencies and constraints.

• Utilize data to develop and report key metrics that inform decisions and drive improvements.

• Promote continuous improvement through the use of metrics and data-driven insights.

• Coach team members on Agile principles, practices, and frameworks.

• Encourage accountability, transparency, and a culture of continuous learning.

• Organize and lead training sessions to enhance team members' skills in Agile methodology.

• Use Jira to track and analyze essential Agile metrics.

• Identify and implement process enhancements and Agile best practices.

• Facilitate communication and collaboration among teams and individuals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred.

• Scrum Master Certification is required.

• Demonstrated experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach for software development teams.

• Familiarity with other Agile frameworks (e.g., Kanban, Lean) and their application is an advantage.

• Experience with Agile project management tools and software development methodologies.

• Strong facilitation and leadership capabilities, with the skill to promote collaboration and build effective working relationships.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution abilities.

• Capacity to adapt and remain flexible in a fast-paced, changing environment.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
