This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.

📋 Description

• Solicit compelling research papers and reviews for submission to iScience.

• Cultivate communities of interest.

• Evaluate submitted research papers.

• Manage the peer review process for direct submissions and transferred contributions.

• Build relationships with researchers.

• Represent the journal and Cell Press at scientific conferences and during visits to research institutions.

• Collaborate effectively with academic editorial board members and editors.

• Establish productive working relationships with colleagues across Cell Press and beyond.

• Gain insights into the diverse scientific areas addressed by the journal and emerging topics.

⛳️ Requirements

• A PhD in Life or Health Science is essential.

• Proficiency in Medical/Health Sciences with a robust translational scientific background and network.

• Previous editorial experience is preferred but not mandatory.

• Relevant experience for more senior roles may be taken into account.

• A professional background in managing a research group or working in industry is encouraged.

• Broad scientific interests and the ability to critically analyze a wide range of scientific issues.

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Strong communication abilities.

• Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and concentrate.

• Creativity, a willingness to innovate, and a desire for continuous improvement.
