This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.
• Engage in the recruitment of compelling research papers and reviews for submission to iScience.
• Cultivate communities of interest.
• Evaluate submitted research papers.
• Supervise the peer review process for both direct submissions and transferred contributions.
• Forge strong relationships with researchers.
• Represent the journal and Cell Press at scientific conferences and research institutions.
• Collaborate with academic editorial board members and fellow editors.
• Develop effective working relationships with colleagues across Cell Press and beyond.
• A PhD in Life or Health Sciences is essential.
• Proficiency in Medical/Health Sciences, complemented by a robust translational scientific background and network.
• Prior editorial experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Relevant experience for more senior levels may be taken into account.
• A professional background, such as leading a research group or working in the industry, is encouraged.
• A wide array of scientific interests and a strong desire to learn.
• Capability to think critically about diverse scientific challenges.
