This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.
• Generate quotes, proposals, and Statements of Work.
• Convert client needs and internal scientific, operational, and commercial insights into precise study documents.
• Assist in model selection and the creation of preclinical and translational study designs utilizing company databases and scientific resources.
• Aggregate model information, scientific data, feasibility assessments, timelines, pricing, and other relevant materials.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs, R&D, laboratory teams, Project Management, and Operations to resolve technical inquiries.
• Develop scientific summaries, datasets, presentations, and materials for both internal and client-facing use.
• Aid in preparing for client meetings and engage in scientific or project-specific dialogues.
• Execute scientifically focused lead generation and pipeline research across Europe and Asia.
• Identify and evaluate potential biotechnology and pharmaceutical clients, directing opportunities to the appropriate Business Development lead.
• Assist with account research, conference preparations, and follow-up activities.
• Keep account, activity, and opportunity information updated in the CRM system.
• Support pipeline reviews, reporting, forecasting, and enhancements of Business Development resources and processes.
• Perform additional tasks as required.
• Advanced degree in Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or a related biomedical or life sciences field.
• A PhD or equivalent scientific training is preferred.
• Strong scientific background in oncology, cancer biology, molecular biology, immunology, pharmacology, genetics, or a similar discipline.
• Familiarity with oncology drug discovery and the preclinical and translational drug development processes.
• Understanding of in vivo, ex vivo, biomarker, and other translational research platforms.
• Ability to transform complex scientific requests into structured study concepts and clear commercial materials.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and scientific communication skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Capability to manage multiple opportunities and workstreams simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across functions, geographies, and time zones.
• Professional fluency in English is mandatory.
• Proficiency in additional European or Asian languages is a plus.
• Relevant experience in academic research, biotechnology, pharmaceutical drug development, a CRO, or a similar preclinical or translational research setting.
• Previous experience in business development, project management, technical sales, or customer-facing roles is advantageous but not essential.
• Must be able to sit for extended periods and use a computer in a standard remote office environment.
• Occasional travel may be necessary.
