This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.
• Deliver engineering-level assistance in the design, development, and implementation of SOLV SCADA solutions and EPC projects.
• Create and develop SCADA integration components and systems for large-scale solar PV and battery energy storage initiatives.
• Establish and execute product design standards and best practices in a collaborative team setting.
• Analyze and fulfill project-specific requirements.
• Produce device point lists, HMI mockups and assets, commissioning test plans, and completion checklists.
• Program and commission SCADA servers, data historians, and HMI systems.
• Review project closeout documentation and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
• Offer intermediate-level technical assistance for various SCADA equipment configurations.
• Engage in technical discussions with clients and partners.
• Maintain a centralized repository of knowledge.
• Diagnose issues within plant monitoring and control systems using diagnostic tools.
• Coordinate with clients and field technicians to provide on-site commissioning and installation support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on platform development and data integration.
• Provide project status updates to the OTS project management team and assist in risk mitigation efforts.
• Advocate for NERC compliance and governance in programming, commissioning, documentation, reporting, knowledge transfer, and training.
• Assist the SOLV Operations center with project integrations and transitions.
• 2–4 years of experience in SCADA engineering.
• Experience in renewable energy, particularly in industrial or utility-scale PV solar, BESS, or wind is preferred.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Intermediate working knowledge of Inductive Automation’s Ignition SCADA platform.
• Intermediate understanding of relational databases and SCADA applications.
• Familiarity with PLC equipment such as Schweitzer Engineering RTAC, Allen Bradley Control/CompactLogix, GE/Emerson RX3i, or similar systems.
• Knowledge of SCADA network installation and commissioning, including fiber optics, serial RS-232/RS-485, and Ethernet TCP/IP.
• Strong understanding of Modbus RTU/TCP, DNP3, OPC UA, and OPC DA protocols.
• Ability to read and develop power system, networking and control, electrical, mechanical, and civil diagrams and schematics.
• Capability to collaborate with subcontractors and field personnel.
• Proficiency with project management, scheduling, and task management software.
