SBA Finance Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Source, finalize, and manage government-backed small business loans

• Advocate for SBA lending products throughout the organization

• Achieve established business objectives and fulfill client expectations within a designated territory

• Meet annual loan production goals in relation to net revenue and loan volume

• Identify suitable prospects through networking, prospecting, collaborative calls, and community development initiatives

• Promote services via internal and external seminars, direct mail campaigns, and media advertising

• Conduct interviews with applicants to assess qualifications and cross-sell additional banking services

• Build and sustain relationships with Business Banking, Retail, and Commercial relationship managers

• Collaborate with governmental and community organizations to promote alternative lending options

• Create written analyses and recommendations, coordinating with the Middle Office on loan documentation

• Engage in the origination, closing, packaging, servicing, and liquidation of SBA loans in compliance with SBA guidelines, bank policies, and regulatory standards

• Weigh risk against return and engage in credit and risk management procedures

• Leverage the LOB Playbook and Consultative Sales techniques to guide clients and enhance retention, penetration, and One Bank execution

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth understanding of U.S. Small Business Administration loan programs and other federal, state, and local alternative lending options

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Finance, or a related business discipline, or 4 years of relevant experience

• At least 5 years of experience in commercial banking or 5 years in sales and underwriting

• Demonstrated history of self-motivated success in external sales/sourcing and establishing new sales relationships

• Proficiency in analyzing complex financial data to make informed credit decisions

• Exceptional presentation and interpersonal abilities

• Advanced to intermediate skills in PC usage
