SAP Business Process & Controls Audit SME – P2P, P2S, O2C

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee comprehensive audits of SAP-supported P2P, P2S, and O2C business cycles.

• Organize and execute physical inventory audits in distribution centers and warehouses, which includes B2F and F2B counts, cycle count validation, and on-site control observations.

• Track transactions from physical warehouse activities and source documents through SAP S/4HANA, EWM, TM, PI, feeder systems, and downstream accountability and financial documentation.

• Analyze inventory discrepancies, adjustments, and variances; conduct root-cause analysis and assess accountability and financial repercussions.

• Evaluate business processes and system-enabled controls, encompassing segregation of duties, master data, transaction processing, interfaces, exception handling, and compensating controls.

• Assist with audit testing by identifying populations, sampling transactions, conducting walkthroughs, gathering evidence, and documenting results.

• Create process and control maps, risk assessments, control matrices, testing documentation, and packages to support audits.

• Formulate Corrective Action Plans, oversee remediation efforts, validate corrective actions, and ensure that findings are resolved.

• Assess the audit and control implications of WMS incidents, change requests, system enhancements, interfaces, and modifications in business processes.

• Facilitate interactions with both internal and external auditors, including engagements, Requests for Evidence, walkthroughs, transaction testing, and remediation of findings.

• Generate audit-risk dashboards, trend analyses, and presentations for executive-level briefings.

• Travel up to 50% to distribution centers, warehouse locations, customer sites, and C5MI facilities.

• Comply with certified quality and information-security protocols and safeguard sensitive information.

• Execute other related duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a comparable field.

• At least 8 years of financial or operational audit experience, including comprehensive audits of inventory, logistics, or supply chain operations.

• A minimum of 5 years of practical experience with SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC logistics functionalities, including SAP EWM or WM, along with a working knowledge of SAP TM and SAP PI.

• Experience conducting audits on-site in distribution centers, warehouses, depots, or manufacturing settings, including physical inventory counts, B2F and F2B testing, and control observations.

• Proficient understanding of P2P, P2S, and O2C business cycles and their corresponding controls and financial implications.

• Demonstrated experience in tracing transactions from start to finish through SAP source, feeder, and destination systems to financial records.

• Experience in evaluating control design and operational effectiveness, conducting root-cause analysis, and formulating Corrective Action Plans.

• Capable of leading complex audits or operational investigations autonomously with minimal high-level guidance.

• Strong ability to convey complex audit, operational, and system-control matters to senior Government leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Exceptional written, analytical, and verbal communication abilities.

• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active government clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
