Sample Manager, Technical Project Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as a reliable advisor to customers, account managers, services leaders, project managers, and delivery teams.

• Take ownership of the technical delivery of products and solutions during both pre-sales and post-sales customer interactions.

• Foster a culture of exceptional customer service.

• Aid customers in their digitization and digitalization efforts through effective technical delivery.

• Share expertise, mentor, and guide technical staff.

• Collaborate with support, product management, and engineering to resolve product technical issues.

• Oversee solution design, architecture, configuration, and implementation tasks.

• Work alongside Solutions Architects, Consultants, and Project Managers to plan and monitor delivery, assign technical tasks, and ensure high-quality outcomes are achieved on time and within budget.

• Serve as the primary technical contact for customers.

• Facilitate scoping, design, and other customer workshops.

• Engage in pre-sales and post-sales activities.

• Analyze customer requirements and prepare RFP responses, requirements trace matrices, functional and technical specifications, testing and validation plans, installation and user documentation, and other technical deliverables.

• Enhance processes, ensure compliance, and drive improvements.

• Travel as necessary for internal and customer meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, IS, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.

• A minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in enterprise software technical implementation projects, ideally in professional services within a life & laboratory science software product/technology services company.

• Proficient in designing and implementing enterprise laboratory informatics technical solutions for ELN, LIMS, SDMS, CDS, and instrument and systems integration, among others.

• Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, and Postgres.

• Programming experience in C# and VGL.

• Experience with cloud services and infrastructure is highly desirable.

• Proven ability to work effectively in a matrix environment across internal and external resources and regions.

• Understanding of SDLC, Quality, and IT processes related to validated systems.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with integrity and credibility.
