Salesforce Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement scalable, high-performance Salesforce and ecosystem solutions.

• Build and maintain applications across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and custom Salesforce Platform applications.

• Create programmatic cross-module workflows and scripts to capture API payload data and pipeline performance metrics.

• Diagnose anomalies within the Salesforce system and manage multi-platform data synchronization issues.

• Choose between declarative or programmatic execution, utilizing Apex and LWC when native Flows do not fulfill scalability requirements.

• Implement custom integrations and core Salesforce functionalities while mitigating risks from API deprecations and vendor updates.

• Manage integration challenges, failing queues, and deployment locks during release cycles.

• Deliver production-ready, bulkified code equipped with automated testing, version control, health monitoring, and compliance with Governor and API limits.

• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Security, Finance, partner teams, senior engineers, and various cross-functional stakeholders.

• Troubleshoot complex custom-code bugs and address application alerts and system synchronization issues within service level agreements (SLAs).

• Engage in repository-driven sandbox management, CI/CD pipelines, and peer code reviews.

• Safely utilize and critically assess AI-assisted development tools.

• Identify manual processes suitable for automation and document application procedures along with incident post-mortems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 4+ years of experience as a Salesforce Developer/Engineer.

• Strong understanding of systems architecture and technical specifications that align with business growth.

• Excellent critical thinking abilities to diagnose systemic Salesforce anomalies and data synchronization issues across connected platforms.

• Hands-on experience with bulkified Flows, Apex, Triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and REST-based web services.

• Proficient in Apex, Lightning Components, SFDC APIs, SOQL, SOSL, XML, JSON, and modern DevOps/CI/CD tools.

• Skilled in using AI-assisted development tools and critically evaluating AI-suggested SOQL query structures, collection iterations, and asynchronous patterns against execution limits.

• Experience in technical solution evaluation, integration planning, and change control processes.

• Relevant Salesforce certifications are preferred, including Salesforce Administrator, Platform Developer I / II, or App Builder.

• Ability to sit for extended periods; extensive use of computers and keyboard; occasional walking and lifting may be required.
