Salesforce Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Oversee the architecture, performance, and scalability of the Salesforce Platform as well as Node.js-based services.

• Ensure that architectural choices adhere to best practices in Salesforce and cloud engineering.

• Take responsibility for the technical direction of Salesforce applications.

• Provide mentorship to senior engineers.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to deliver high-quality solutions in a timely manner.

• Manage a team comprising 10 to 15 developers.

• Establish goals and conduct one-on-one meetings.

• Foster career development and recruit top engineering talent.

• Eliminate obstacles to progress.

• Balance the delivery of the roadmap with engineering excellence, focusing on code quality, system reliability, platform performance, security, and developer experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in leadership roles within engineering teams.

• Extensive Salesforce expertise, covering Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, Salesforce APIs, and best practices for the Salesforce platform.

• Established experience in Salesforce technical architecture, specifically in designing scalable enterprise solutions.

• Strong background in Node.js, with a clear vision for developing maintainable services and integrations at scale.

• Experience in integrating Salesforce with external systems utilizing modern APIs and integration methodologies.

• Profound understanding of software architecture, scalability, security, and performance optimization.

• Proven track record of enhancing engineering velocity, system performance, scalability, and deployment processes in live environments.

• Demonstrated ability to develop engineers, recruit effectively, and lead high-performing engineering teams that consistently achieve results.

• Familiarity with Salesforce DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation is preferred.

• Experience with AWS, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise SaaS platforms is preferred.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Terraform, or containerization technologies is preferred.

• Salesforce certifications, such as Platform Developer I or II, Application Architect, or System Architect, are preferred.

• Background in scaling SaaS platforms or developer-facing products is preferred.
