This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +2 more states.
• Identify clients focused on plant health care within the green industry
• Collaborate with commercial tree care and landscape maintenance firms, municipalities, and other entities that manage insects, diseases, and the health of trees and shrubs
• Educate clients, create proposals, and finalize sales with current customers
• Develop new customer relationships
• Generate leads and conduct sales demonstrations for potential and existing clients
• Attend and present at local conferences, meetings, and industry events
• Build awareness and foster relationships with key industry influencers
• Adhere to the sales process while maintaining frequent and effective communication with clients
• Deliver exceptional customer service through a consultative selling approach
• Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and create new business avenues
• Document and update customer details, sales workflows, and activities within Acumatica CRM
• Maintain an active prospect list for the assigned territory
• Achieve or surpass established sales targets
• Diagnose and manage pest issues affecting trees and shrubs
• Educate and mentor others to succeed in plant healthcare programs
• Bachelor of Science in Horticulture, Urban Forestry, Biology, Environmental Science, or equivalent practical experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• Preferred industry sales experience in the tree care and/or landscape maintenance sector
• Preferred Business to Business Sales Experience as a distributor or manufacturer sales representative
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the designated territory
• Competence in diagnosing and managing issues related to tree and shrub pests
• Knowledge of tree and shrub identification
• Ability to educate and train others regarding plant healthcare programs
• Capability to work outdoors and navigate through commercial and residential landscapes, enduring varying temperatures
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and lift objects
• Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds at any given time
• Commitment to following safety protocols and utilizing PPE and other safety equipment
• Willingness to work around chemicals, tools, and equipment
