This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Interact with end users and Veeam partners to identify and convert business goals into technical specifications.
• Develop content and deliver presentations and demonstrations to diverse audiences and decision-makers, both virtually and in-person.
• Oversee the technical evaluation phase of the sales process, serving as the primary technical advisor for Veeam solutions.
• Offer pre-sales support to customers evaluating Veeam software, including Proofs of Concept (POCs), Hands-on Labs, and Bootcamps.
• Accurately document and maintain current engagement details with customers and partners in Salesforce.
• Collaborate closely with Veeam’s value-added resellers for training, joint meetings, and relationship development.
• Assist in lead generation efforts through events, webinars, and user group activities.
• Work in tandem with Veeam Product Development and Engineering to relay customer insights.
• Engage and cooperate with cross-functional teams on strategic projects aimed at enhancing efficiency and providing long-term value, such as TCO and ROI calculators and hands-on labs.
• Be prepared to travel within the designated region up to 50% of the time.
• Proven experience in a pre-sales position within the IT sector.
• Previous experience with Veeam solutions, either through usage or deployment.
• VMCE certification is highly desirable; all Sales Engineers can pursue VMCE and VMCA certifications once in the position.
• Extensive experience with virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV) and related technologies (SANs, hyper-converged storage, networking).
• Familiarity with public cloud services (Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• Knowledge of key SaaS platforms, including Microsoft Office 365 and Salesforce.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Comfortable presenting to groups, both remotely and face-to-face.
• Willingness to travel across the UK & Ireland.
• Self-motivated with the capacity to quickly learn new technologies.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where roles and responsibilities may frequently shift.
