This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.
• Meet and surpass quarterly and yearly sales targets within the designated region.
• Strategically plan and implement sales initiatives in line with established budgets, volumes, values, product mix, and schedules.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with both existing and prospective customers through consistent account visits.
• Track upcoming tenders and prepare, participate in, and follow up on tender processes.
• Oversee the sales funnel and manage opportunity tracking.
• Monitor and report on sales activities and management information.
• Offer technical support and guidance before and after sales.
• Share competitive intelligence with marketing and sales management.
• Enhance technical and commercial understanding of products.
• Communicate and execute regional sales and marketing strategies.
• Collaborate with Field Service Engineers to deliver services and maximize consumables opportunities.
• Utilize and maintain customer and prospect contact management systems.
• Plan, support, and coordinate local marketing initiatives, including launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions, and telemarketing efforts.
• Engage, communicate, and negotiate internally and externally to foster profitable business and sustainable relationships.
• Attend and present at both customer and internal meetings.
• Regularly update and maintain the CRM system.
• Provide comprehensive user training, including presentations and hands-on demonstrations at customer locations.
• Report directly to the Area Sales Manager for the North/Central regions of Italy.
• 1-3 years of relevant technical sales experience in the medical device industry is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in selling capital goods and consumables.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific or engineering discipline is preferred.
• Experience working with stakeholders in sterilization, hospital hygiene, or operating room settings is a significant advantage.
• Strong analytical, commercial, and computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, SharePoint, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or Salesforce.com.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers on both commercial and technical aspects.
• Familiarity with medical devices is preferred, though not mandatory.
• Knowledge of FBS/Lean operational principles for continuous improvement is preferred.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned region of Italy.
