This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Zambia.

📋 Description

• Promote and market Yara's plant nutrition offerings to distributors, agro-dealers, cooperatives, smallholder, and emerging farmers.

• Support smallholder agricultural initiatives in the North Western Province and the Copperbelt region of Zambia.

• Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to meet sales objectives.

• Implement Health, Safety, and Quality assurance principles and adhere to HESQ as a prerequisite for operations.

• Engage in sales and business development activities, coordinating various projects.

• Oversee product stewardship, customer relationships, marketing efforts, and market research initiatives.

• Organize field activities and events.

• Handle order processing.

• Maintain accurate reporting and record-keeping.

• Manage inventory control.

• Contribute to financial targets and achieve set sales objectives, targets, and KPIs.

• Provide solutions to daily challenges faced by the Small Holder department in collaboration with the Agronomy & Commercial Sales Manager – Zambia Cluster.

• Report directly to the Agronomy & Commercial Sales Manager - Zambia Cluster.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in General Agriculture.

• Membership in the Agricultural Institute of Zambia (AIZ).

• A minimum of 2 years of successful experience in a similar role.

• Familiarity with the Zambian smallholder farming sector, including its dynamics, market trends, and competitive landscape.

• Understanding of the Zambian agricultural regulatory framework.

• Knowledge of fertilizer and crop nutrition products and their respective markets.

• Awareness of sales processes relevant to the smallholder farming industry.

• Proficiency in SAP processes.

• Willingness to travel extensively.

• Computer literacy, particularly in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Proficient in written and spoken English.

• Fluency in Nyanja, Bemba, Lenje, and Tonga is a beneficial asset.

• Strong understanding of the agricultural sector, especially smallholder farming.

• Comprehension of economic yield goal settings related to crop input budgets.

• Insight into sales contractual agreements.

• Capability to establish professional and productive customer relationships.

• Strong communication skills for effectively conveying instructions for precise execution.
