This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Advocate for all products within the Gypsum Division by leveraging comprehensive product knowledge, technical skills, and application expertise.
• Develop robust relationships with gypsum specialty dealers and contractors in the designated territory.
• Partner with contractor specialty representatives and Ceilings Sales Representatives to guide customer decision-making.
• Enhance USG’s short- and long-term growth in sales volume, gross profit, and industry standing.
• Cultivate connections with dealers and contractors to boost preference and demand for USG Gypsum products and systems.
• Broaden the customer base and assess new customer opportunities.
• Oversee the complaint process to minimize risk.
• Utilize Salesforce.com to manage customer data, track projects, identify leads, and discover opportunities.
• Observe and report on competitive activities while promoting USG’s product offerings.
• Introduce and advocate for new Gypsum products while supporting existing core products.
• Address technical inquiries related to Gypsum products, including testing, applications, codes, and performance.
• Coordinate with contractor and technical resources when necessary.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Marketing, Product Management, Pricing Analytics, Sales Operations, and Customer Service to ensure excellent customer interactions.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related discipline.
• Minimum of two years of sales experience in the building industry or a closely related field.
• Required technical expertise and aptitude.
• Basic understanding of residential and commercial construction practices, particularly drywall installation and finishing.
• Proficient in MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Competent in using Salesforce.com; utilized daily as the CRM platform.
• Ability to identify key decision-makers and foster relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interactive presentation abilities.
• Good client and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license is mandatory.
• Capability to lift 30 lbs.
• Willingness to travel up to approximately 50% of the time.
• Must be able to attend USG-sponsored training sessions.
