This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Drive profitable revenue growth within a designated territory.
• Implement regional sales strategies and deliver integrated crop solutions from the Rovensa Next portfolio.
• Achieve territory sales targets and meet cross-selling goals.
• Identify, prioritize, and convert new business opportunities among distributors and key growers.
• Create and execute territory account plans aimed at growth, retention, and market share expansion.
• Promote value-based selling that emphasizes agronomic and economic advantages.
• Establish and nurture relationships with distributor leadership, sales teams, agronomists, crop advisors, key growers, and industry influencers.
• Enhance distributor capabilities through joint visits, training, and business planning.
• Conduct technical presentations and training sessions.
• Define and articulate crop-specific value propositions.
• Collaborate with Technical/Innovation teams to identify market demands, support product positioning and adoption, and ensure success at the field level.
• Lead and assist in field trials, demonstrations, and validation programs.
• Convert trial results into commercial opportunities and customer insights.
• Boost product awareness through field days, trade shows, sponsorships, and industry engagement.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly sales forecasts.
• Assist in inventory planning and regional warehouse management.
• Collaborate with finance, customer care, and commercial teams on collections and account health.
• Maintain disciplined usage of CRM and reporting tools.
• Monitor and report on competitive activities, market trends, pricing dynamics, crop trends, and agronomic challenges.
• Provide actionable insights for portfolio strategy and innovation priorities.
• Travel across the assigned territory, including approximately 25% overnight travel.
• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Soil Science, Crop/Plant Protection, Horticulture, or a related discipline is required.
• Over 5 years of experience in agricultural sales or technical agronomy roles.
• Strong understanding of plant nutrition and crop protection.
• In-depth knowledge of regional crops and production systems.
• Solid grasp of agronomic practices and product applications.
• Familiarity with agronomic principles and crop production methods.
• Knowledge of a diverse product portfolio encompassing seeds, crop protection, and related solutions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Experience with CRM systems and sales forecasting techniques.
• Strong sales and solution-selling abilities.
• Excellent customer relationship management skills.
• Skills in communication, stakeholder influence, collaboration, planning, prioritization, and territory management.
• Competence in sales forecasting and pipeline management.
• Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
• Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to analyze challenges and develop practical solutions.
• Capability to build trust and credibility with clients.
• Flexibility to adapt sales strategies for various products and customer needs.
• Willingness to take ownership and accountability for results.
• Approximately 25% overnight travel within the territory is required.
