This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee the sales process and drive revenue growth within a designated territory and customer portfolio.
• Attract new clients and enhance business within current accounts through face-to-face meetings, product demonstrations, and consultative selling techniques.
• Partner with Account Managers, Product Specialists, Customer Care, and other internal teams to provide customized solutions.
• Keep precise records in CRM systems like C4C and track sales activities diligently.
• Implement territory business plans that align with overarching commercial objectives.
• Manage a diverse customer base across various markets to maximize sales revenue and gross profit.
• Identify and establish new clients by overseeing a sales pipeline and crafting value-driven proposals.
• Formulate retention strategies and enhance Avantor’s engagement with existing customers.
• Present products, assess customer requirements, and suggest Avantor solutions accordingly.
• Cultivate and maintain customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
• Execute company marketing initiatives, strategies, and sales processes using available resources effectively.
• Collaborate with sales management to develop proposals and put sales strategies into practice.
• Work alongside local manufacturer representatives to enhance product knowledge, pricing, and account profitability.

• Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field or equivalent experience is preferred.
• 1-3+ years of relevant experience is preferred.
• Experience in a complex, dynamic sales environment with multiple purchasing decision-makers and a solution-oriented approach is required.
• Business-to-business sales experience is preferred, particularly in distribution.
• A scientific background and/or experience in a laboratory or research setting is preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication and collaboration with customers, manufacturing representatives, management, team members, and internal specialists.
• Capability to engage in business discussions with business owners and decision-makers.
• Ability to work autonomously and efficiently manage time and territory.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to strategize sales within an account.
• Understanding of individual customer operations is essential.
• Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Office; experience with Salesforce or QlikView is preferred.
• Candidates should be located in the Greater Vancouver Area.
• A valid driver's license in good standing is required.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations at least five days a week.
• Expected travel of 50-75%, including overnight stays.
• Canadian sales associates must travel to the United States for annual sales conferences and occasional training sessions.
