This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Build and nurture strategic relationships with key influencers and specifiers within architectural design teams.
• Recognize and secure opportunities to develop door and hardware specifications.
• Provide comprehensive product information for specifications related to commercial projects.
• Conduct continuing education programs focusing on new products, solutions, and design-assist services.
• Aid in product substitution and approval processes.
• Follow up to ensure specifications are maintained throughout the bidding process.
• Utilize Salesforce.com for managing customer relationships, tracking projects, and managing time effectively.
• Offer specification support and services to architectural firms.
• Act as the primary contact for architects regarding education, specifications, client satisfaction, and technical support needs.
• Oversee architectural development and project tracking.
• Secure approval for internal writers to create Division 08 door and hardware specifications.
• Advocate for the adoption of the Openings Studio BIM tool.
• Present project proposals for value-added professional services.
• A college or university degree, ideally in architectural design, engineering, drafting, construction science/management, business, or a related field; alternatively, a minimum high school/GED diploma with relevant work experience.
• 2–3 years of experience in architectural representation, specification writing, or Design-Build construction management can be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with CRM tools for sales and activity tracking.
• Familiarity with industry-related software is advantageous.
• Capability to read and comprehend specifications and facility standards.
• Possess industry-related technical knowledge and sales aptitude.
• Willingness to travel within an assigned territory to meet customer needs.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Comfortable working from a home office or while traveling.
• Capacity to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. of sample and display materials.
• Excellent communication, active listening, negotiation, organizational, follow-up, multitasking, and time management skills.
