This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho, +1 more state.
β’ Provide guidance to architectural professionals regarding the design and specifications of door openings.
β’ Utilize Openings Studio BIM software for specifying 3D doors, hardware, and access control systems.
β’ Develop and maintain strong relationships with key influencers to generate brand demand through education, facilitation, and promotion.
β’ Identify architectural, design, and engineering firms within the Healthcare, Higher Education, K-12 Education, and Government sectors.
β’ Foster consulting relationships with influencers and specifiers within architectural design teams.
β’ Recognize and secure opportunities to create door and hardware specifications.
β’ Provide timely and accurate product information for specifications on commercial projects.
β’ Deliver continuing education programs focused on new products, solutions, and design-assist professional services.
β’ Assist in the product substitution and approval processes, following up throughout the bidding stage.
β’ Utilize Salesforce.com for managing customer relationships, tracking projects, and managing time effectively.
β’ Act as the main point of contact for architects regarding education, specifications, client satisfaction, and technical support.
β’ Monitor architectural development and projects and obtain approvals for internal writers to create Division 08 specification documents.
β’ Encourage the adoption of the Openings Studio BIM tool and present project proposals for value-added professional services.
β’ Collaborate with a nationwide team of professional sales representatives to provide specification support to architectural firms.
β’ A degree from a college or university is preferred, ideally in architectural, design/engineering/drafting, construction science/management, business, or a related field. Alternatively, a minimum high school/GED diploma coupled with relevant work experience is acceptable.
β’ A minimum of 2-3 years of industry experience related to architectural representation, specification writing, or Design-Build construction management, which may substitute for a degree.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
β’ Experience utilizing and maintaining CRM tools for sales and activity reporting.
β’ Familiarity with industry-related software is advantageous.
β’ An entrepreneurial mindset and a keen interest in selling door opening solutions.
β’ Detail-oriented, organized, and possesses strong follow-up capabilities.
β’ Ability to multitask and manage time and projects efficiently.
β’ Excellent communication, active listening, and negotiation skills.
β’ Capacity to read and comprehend specifications and facility standards.
β’ Technical and sales aptitude relevant to the industry.
β’ Willingness to travel within a designated territory to meet customer needs.
β’ Capability to work from a home office or while traveling.
β’ Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. of samples and display materials.
β’ Able to occasionally visit factory assembly floors.
β’ Available to attend and engage in all-day internal collaborative sales meetings.
β’ Minimum high school/GED diploma or equivalent work experience required.
