This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Market BioCryst products to clients in the Hudson Valley, NY region in a compliant manner.
• Engage in effective selling and marketing discussions to generate and grow demand for the promoted brands.
• Enhance understanding of key customers.
• Create, maintain, and regularly update an active customer database.
• Formulate strategies for the effective use of marketing materials and programs.
• Oversee key account management.
• Construct business plans that link resource allocations to business outcomes.
• Cultivate and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and opinion leaders.
• Organize and coordinate promotional initiatives within promotional and regulatory frameworks.
• Execute field activities including lunch and learns, customer in-services, and other compliant customer interactions.
• Accurately and promptly complete expense reports and administrative documentation.
• Report call information in a timely fashion.
• Participate in training programs, conventions, and symposia as requested.
• Showcase accountability and dedication to achieving sales targets.
• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Utilize resources and share best practices to meet or surpass business objectives.
• Comply with company guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Execute other duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical and/or biotech sales is required.
• Experience in Rare Disease and small companies is preferred.
• Background in academic or teaching institutions is advantageous.
• Experience in start-up commercial environments is a plus.
• Established relationships with key accounts in the assigned geographical area are beneficial.
• Proven history of exceeding sales targets, including national accolades such as President’s Club.
• Demonstrated success in a territory where the candidate was the sole commercial representative.
• Proven capability to develop and execute effective rare disease sales strategies and achieve results.
• Familiarity with relevant disease states and current treatment options is essential.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
• Proven capacity to innovate, expand business, and operate independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to quickly understand and assimilate complex information.
• Outstanding negotiation skills.
• Understanding of reimbursement processes.
• Knowledge of the territory is required.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are essential.
• Willingness to travel as necessary, including overnight and/or weekend trips.
