Sales & Marketing Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and lead the complete Sales and Marketing revenue-generating function.

• Create, implement, and enhance comprehensive sales and marketing strategies.

• Manage the entire funnel from the initial client engagement to signed contracts and new client acquisition.

• Review current sales and marketing operations and execute necessary improvements.

• Develop scalable lead-generation systems across various channels, including SEO, outbound sales, partnerships, referrals, paid acquisition, and content marketing.

• Ensure a steady stream of qualified leads that align with revenue objectives.

• Refine lead qualification, sales processes, pipeline management, and conversion rates.

• Personally spearhead strategic sales initiatives and high-value opportunities during the initial reconstruction phase.

• Recruit, nurture, and lead high-performing Sales and Marketing teams.

• Oversee budgets, hiring strategies, resource distribution, and investment decisions across channels.

• Set KPIs, performance metrics, and reporting frameworks.

• Track pipeline health, lead generation, conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, revenue projections, and overall commercial performance.

• Present performance analyses, strategic insights, and revenue forecasts to Company Leadership.

• Work collaboratively with the Service Department and cross-functional stakeholders to meet client expectations, onboarding, and long-term success.

• Spot market opportunities, strategic partnerships, and growth ventures.

• Analyze industry trends, competitor activities, ecommerce advancements, and emerging marketing strategies.

• Establish scalable processes, documentation, and operational structures.

• Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, continuous improvement, and commercial excellence.

• Engage in leadership meetings and contribute to the overall company strategy.

• Provide commercial insights and support strategic initiatives across departments.

• Report directly to Company Leadership.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience leading Sales, Marketing, or Revenue functions with direct accountability for commercial outcomes.

• Proven track record in building, scaling, and leading high-performing Sales and Marketing teams.

• Demonstrated capability to drive revenue growth while establishing scalable commercial systems and processes.

• Extensive experience within a digital marketing agency or SaaS company catering to ecommerce businesses (mandatory).

• Proven ability to generate qualified leads through SEO, outbound sales, partnerships, referrals, content marketing, and various growth avenues.

• Strong sales background with a history of successfully closing new business and managing significant sales opportunities.

• Comprehensive understanding of sales pipeline management, lead qualification, conversion optimization, and revenue forecasting.

• Excellent analytical abilities and a knack for making data-driven decisions.

• Experience managing departmental budgets, hiring, resource allocation, and operational performance.

• Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team management skills.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication proficiency in English.

• Strong organizational abilities, accountability, responsiveness, and capability to meet deadlines.

• Capacity to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fully remote setting.

• Experience in selling retention marketing services such as Email Marketing, SMS Marketing, or UGC services is a significant advantage.

• Familiarity with Klaviyo, ecommerce marketing technology, and the broader ecommerce ecosystem is highly desirable.

• Existing relationships or network within the ecommerce or DTC industry would be a strong benefit.

• Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Availability and responsiveness during office hours, Mondays to Fridays between 3–6 PM BCN time.

• Ability to consistently work 30–35 hours per week, approximately 140 hours per month.

• Stable internet connection.

• Laptop or desktop computer capable of participating in virtual meetings.

• Willingness to receive constructive feedback and provide effective coaching and feedback.

• Full-time commitment.

• Contractor status following the signing of a non-disclosure agreement.

• Exclusivity agreement.

• 30-day notice period after the initial two months.
