This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Drive Fire sales to achieve sales targets for the Western Region.
• Spearhead sales initiatives to identify new Fire account opportunities.
• Stay informed about market trends and competitive landscape.
• Organize activities to secure assigned new business and meet sales quotas.
• Engage with business unit personnel regarding the business environment, product offerings, pricing strategies, product mix, technological advancements, market trends, and operational challenges.
• Address competitive and market opportunities and manage communications with distributors, dealers, OEMs, end users, and the factory.
• Relay important information to manufacturer representatives and group staff.
• Create and execute an annual sales strategy.
• Oversee participation in local, state, regional, and national trade exhibitions.
• Maintain quarterly documentation of market coverage.
• Process annual distributor agreements and manage additions and removals within the distributor network.
• Effectively control expenses.
• Ensure timely information flow to the factory, sales representatives, and accounts.
• Collaborate with the inside sales team to maintain quotations and acceptable profit margins.
• Project monthly sales by product to align with production and delivery schedules.
• Fulfill administrative tasks including expense reports, new business reports, quarterly narratives, schedules, and sales forecasts.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline preferred (e.g., Business, Marketing, etc.).
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Automotive, Fleet, and/or Fire Department sales preferred.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
• Proficient in word processing, database, and spreadsheet software.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for customer issues across multiple channels.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Capable of conveying information effectively to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish is an advantage.
