This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of and implement a new strategy for acquiring accounts aimed at colocation operators, hyperscale/Neocloud providers, and regional data center developers throughout the U.S.
• Establish and sustain a pipeline of new opportunities via prospecting, cold outreach, industry networking, trade shows, and referrals.
• Achieve and surpass individual quotas centered on acquiring first-time customers and generating new logo revenue.
• Manage the complete sales cycle, which includes prospecting, qualification, design engagement, proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
• Cultivate relationships with consulting engineers, UPS OEMs, and MEP/EPC/Integrator firms to facilitate product specification.
• Collaborate with applications engineering on technical presentations, solution design recommendations, and competitive positioning.
• Represent ZincFive and showcase the advantages of the BC Series at trade shows, site visits, customer summits, and regional industry events.
• Keep accurate CRM records, provide forecast updates, and develop account plans; participate in weekly deal reviews and sales strategy discussions.
• Work with product management and OEM partnership teams on UPS integration and joint sales initiatives.
• Be prepared for domestic travel of 50% or more, with occasional international trips, and operate in manufacturing, warehouse, lab, and office settings.
• A bachelor's degree in engineering, a technical discipline, business, or equivalent experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in sales related to data center power, UPS, battery systems, or mission-critical infrastructure.
• Demonstrated success in acquiring new accounts and consistently achieving quotas as a hunter.
• Strong technical sales expertise with the ability to discuss UPS, batteries, and data center electrical design in depth.
• Capability to prospect, develop, and finalize large, complex deals with multiple stakeholders involving new customers.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Experience in selling to colocation and enterprise data center clients, including consulting engineers and MEP/EPCs.
• Self-motivated individual with strong pipeline management practices and the ability to operate independently across a broad territory.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and contemporary sales workflow tools.
• Willingness to travel domestically 50% or more and occasionally internationally.
• Capability to lift up to 30 pounds and wear Personal Protective Equipment when necessary.
• Ability to travel by air, car, train, or bus.
• Preferred: Technical experience in battery cabinet or advanced energy storage system sales.
• Preferred: Established contacts within NAM data center operators, developers, consulting engineers, and MEP/EPCs.
• Preferred: Experience in high-growth or startup-like environments.
• Preferred: Familiarity with UPS OEM ecosystems, including Vertiv, Eaton, Schneider, ABB, and Delta.
• Preferred: Knowledge of IEC/UL/IEEE standards.
