This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Achieve revenue objectives and meet company revenue targets on a quarterly and yearly basis.
• Project quarterly and annual revenue forecasts for the designated region.
• Oversee sales activities within the assigned territory.
• Establish expectations, offer mentorship, and prioritize sales initiatives.
• Ensure the team is accountable for developing pipeline and executing each stage of the sales process.
• Mentor the sales team to identify customer needs and cultivate customer advocates.
• Assist the team in showcasing use cases and illustrating the unique value of Splunk products and services.
• Guide negotiations to achieve favorable pricing and terms by emphasizing value and return on investment.
• Enhance and optimize sales territories.
• Build and lead high-performing sales teams.
• A minimum of 8 years of direct and channel enterprise software sales experience with large enterprises is required.
• Experience with subscription, SaaS, or cloud software in enterprise accounts.
• Strong leadership and influencing abilities.
• Capability to forge strong business partnerships both internally and externally.
• Experience in business planning, along with the ability to measure and communicate progress toward objectives.
• Skill in identifying obstacles and formulating effective solutions.
• Adaptability in dynamic and rapidly changing environments.
• Preferred: 5+ years of experience in building and leading front-line sales teams.
• Second-line management experience is advantageous.
• Proven history of meeting or surpassing sales quotas, both personally and as a sales leader.
• Preferred software experience in IT systems, enterprise or infrastructure management, application development and management, DevOps, security, business applications, and/or analytics.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to deliver presentations at the executive level.
• Familiarity with target account selling, solution selling, and/or consultative sales techniques.
• Knowledge of MEDDPICC and Challenger methodologies is a plus.
