This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +6 more states.
• Generate new business sales of Westlaw, Practical Law, and various legal solutions and workflow tools.
• Target prospective in-house legal, intellectual property, and compliance departments within corporations.
• Achieve or surpass new sales quotas consistently.
• Demonstrate, sell, and cultivate a pipeline across the entire product portfolio.
• Conduct face-to-face appointments and meetings, including 8 new-customer meetings each week.
• Meet and exceed monthly quota expectations consistently.
• Maintain a pipeline that is at least 3 times the quota.
• Develop and utilize peer and team networks effectively.
• Regularly update, maintain, and manage Salesforce.com.
• Identify opportunities within the designated territory and implement a sales plan.
• Drive sales of legal solutions to new customers.
• Establish relationships with potential customers.
• Facilitate transactional sales and navigate lengthy, intricate software and solutions sales cycles.
• Forecast sales with an accuracy of 95%.
• Collaborate and communicate regularly within the team and throughout the organization.
• Travel to customer locations as needed.
• Candidates must reside within the New England territory.
• A minimum of 4-5 years of direct field sales experience, preferably in the corporate sector, with a proven record of exceeding sales quotas.
• A 4-year college degree is required.
• A JD or MBA is preferred.
• Ability to work from a home office and travel to customer locations.
• Proficiency and established experience using Salesforce.com.
• Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time each month.
• A strong passion for sales, customer service, and the legal industry.
• Skills in new business mining, continuous prospecting, cold/warm calling, sales pitching, and business development.
• Experience in sales planning and executing growth in the assigned territory.
• Knowledge of the legal industry and the ability to build trust with prospective customers.
• Consultative selling skills and the capacity to navigate complex software and solutions sales cycles.
• Proficient listening and questioning skills to uncover customer needs.
• Deep understanding of customers’ business environments.
• Effective sales presentation abilities.
• Capability to forecast sales with 95% accuracy.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate across the organization.
• Competence in building relationships and influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels, including senior management and C-Suite executives.
