This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Provide leadership and strategic oversight for Territory Managers within designated districts.
• Track sales activities to meet profitability and growth targets.
• Set annual sales goals and quotas.
• Forecast sales volume and profit for both existing and new properties.
• Allocate and reallocate accounts as needed.
• Recruit, inspire, develop, coach, and assess Territory Managers.
• Guide change management and lead training and development initiatives.
• Assist in sales calls and offer constructive feedback.
• Engage in significant client presentations and discussions.
• Collaborate with operational divisions and internal teams.
• Drive sales through account penetration, strategic sales-call planning, and follow-ups.
• Utilize product knowledge, ROI analysis, Phocas, GForce, and Salesforce.com to identify prospects.
• Maintain, enhance, and grow customer relationships.
• Synchronize customer information with Merchandising and Operations departments.
• Monitor accounts and address any customer satisfaction issues.
• Escalate accounts that are at risk of discontinuing service.
• Partner with accounts receivable to ensure prompt invoice payments.
• Travel to meet with Territory Managers, customers, and prospects; overnight travel may occasionally be required.
• High School diploma is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent industry experience is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience successfully increasing profitable sales in the foodservice sector.
• Over 5 years of foodservice sales experience is preferred.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication, interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, and closing abilities.
• Strong leadership capabilities, including mentoring and developing individuals and teams.
• Solid understanding of financial principles, encompassing pricing and forecasting.
• Capacity to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Proficient in computer usage, including customer databases, internet navigation, and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook).
• Familiarity with Phocas, Gforce, Box, Salesforce.com, and PeopleSoft is advantageous.
• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
• Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets the company's minimum standards.
• Must currently be authorized to work in the United States.
